Project Background : Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) is a critical issue affecting adolescent girls' education in Cameroon.
Project Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of an MHM pilot intervention in improving school attendance among adolescent girls in Cameroon.
Methods: A mixed-methods design was employed, with a sample of 10,000 female students from 15 schools in three regions. The intervention included dignity kit distribution, WASH facility renovation/construction, and teacher training.
Results: The pilot showed significant improvements in school attendance and MHM practices among beneficiaries.
Conclusion: This pilot intervention demonstrates the potential of comprehensive MHM programs in improving educational outcomes for adolescent girls in Cameroon.
